It all started in 1972 with a few cottages on the shore of Frenchman’s Bay…
Seven rustic cottages and a vision to turn them into an “ideal place for a vacation.”
1981 - The first big addition to Woodland Park
Our Aloha cottage was built just 30 yards from the shore in winter 1981, finishing in spring of 1982. With the work done mostly in-family, it has since become our most popular cottage year over year.
1985
The main house, which now houses the office and caretakers residence, is constructed.
1986
Several cottages are raised and placed on concrete risers, this allowed access to modernize plumbing and electrical wiring. During this process we moved our Garden cottage closer to the shore and rotated it 90 degrees to have a better view of the sea!
1989
Our Sea Breeze cottage gets a brand new deck. The spacious addition allows guests to enjoy views of Frenchman’s Bay just by stepping out of the front door.
1991
Our ninth cottage, Puka Place, was added to Woodland Park. Today the upstairs portion is a quaint one-bedroom with a wonderful screened in porch to enjoy views of the bay.
1994
Our Koze cottage gets a new screened in porch. Almost simultaneously our entrance and parking area is paved, replacing an aging gravel surface.
